Brakeman Design was contracted by DKI to create a campaign promoting downtown business and place-making. Working with Brakeman, I created many drawings over the course of several seasons that depicted the places and faces of Kalamazoo. Reminiscent of New Yorker style illustrations, they capture a simultaneous big-city feel and small-town intimacy.
