This logo for a new speech-language consulting practice conveys the importance and sensitivity of their work. Communication, the means by which we relate to each other, can be difficult for many people. This logo illustrates the way language can illuminate our inherent connections. This multifaceted educational program of Kalamazoo City’s Historic Preservation Commission needed a name and logo that spoke to renewal, improvement, and maintenance in an energetic, accessible way.

When an industry is just (legally) burgeoning, it’s easy to make the mistake of thinking the product itself is new. This beaver, munching on and amongst some conveniently arranged logs, is the natural mascot for this brand, which wants you to know hemp is as old as islands, and no human, nor animal, is one. We're all in this together.

The Michigan Department of Education needed a logo for this association that reflected the way we communicate, learn, and teach in the contemporary world, as well as the benefit of merging different perspectives. It shares the color scheme of other programs within the set, like ELAS, the logo for which we designed as well.

The Cool Sun project is an outgrowth of USAID and Fulbright grants to help farmers worldwide improve their ability to store perishables. Michigan State University and the Indian Agricultural Institute developed structures in India that provide off-grid cold storage. This logo, the shape referencing a solar cell, is intended to simplify the academic complexity of the project, and set the tone for continued growth and development as more structures are built and their design made accessible.
